2016 was a busy, but great year for us. In July we were a part of Electronics & Gaming Expo at the CTICC building a stand for Frontosa and in August we were at the Institute of Retirement Funds Expo at the Durban ICC building a customised exhibition stands for Salt Employee Benefits and Umbra and Bophelo Life Insurance.

From there we moved to Africa Aerospace & Defence Expo in Pretoria in September. We had the privilege of building for DCD Protected Mobility, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles, Tellumat and Dassault Systemes.
For the DCD stand we designed and created an authentic military camp to represent an operational scenario, using elements such as military sand bags, plants, camp style furniture and gravel sand, that’s correct, we even brought in the sand by the truckload!
Tellumat was a sleek double story stand that let the graphics tell what services they have to offer. This is no easy task when you are required to put an entire company’s offering in pictures within a very specific space.  Our designers and stand builders really outdid themselves.
Mercedes-Benz, as always, was sophisticated and supported the corporate image that the brand has done so well to maintain. It was an innovative design with a large rigged overhead banner above their powerful Unimog which was on display. Not only did we do their stand, we also did their event catering and their branded give-aways.
Dassault Systemes was a clean and modern custom designed & built stand, to represent the image and brand of the company and its offerings. It incorporated straight lines and modern features such as trendy pendant lights and upmarket furniture.

The end result, four very happy clients and a very happy, proud team!

In the last quarter of 2016 we were involved with both the Cape Town and Johannesburg Mama Magic Events. 4QDS had the privilege of building the Doona™ Exhibition Stand & The Tiny Love Exhibition Stand. Doona™ is the world’s first infant car seat with a complete and fully integrated mobility solution. Tiny Love is an award-winning global toy and baby products’ company. We were very happy with the results at both shows and we are proud to say, so was our client.

Next up was AfricaCom, which is the largest and most influential Africa-focused tech event in the world – the meeting place for those driving Africa’s digital transformation. The event is now a week-long festival of thought-provoking content, immersive satellite events, and unique networking experiences.
The brands we proudly built custom exhibition stands and conference pods for were WeTek, 6D Technologies, China Telecom and O3b, who were all, as we were, very happy with the end results.

We closed of the year with successful design and set up for our client; Right to Care, at the ASLM Conference held at CTICC in December.

We welcome 2017 with open arms and have already hit the ground running with the Cape Town Motor show hosted at Grand West. Four Quarters Design Studio is the Official Exhibition Partner to CTMS!
